LCT Calls Out TBLimo As A Poser?

LCT's Blog Writer & Editor Martin Romjue jumps on Moshe Leib's recent loss in appeals with a Headline Banner that the "Prius is Not a Limo" mistakenly reporting that a panel of judges in Tampa ruled that the Prius is not a limo.

His reponse to a correction that the appeal was held in the 11th Circuit "Atlanta" & his statements obviously show that he did not review the courts decision ends with:

" Operators have the freedom to offer it; customers who want to feel green can certainly rent it; and we at LCT can call out industry posers and suckers when we see them."

So, is this Editor for LCT who never operated a limo business calling Leib a "poser" and his customers who want the "Prius" for a ride to the airport "suckers"?

Leib, whose primary base customers are elderly leisure travelers, added the Prius to augment his "L" Series Fleet in order to offer the travelers a more cost effective option with transfers from Pinellas County to and from the Tampa airport. The Prius overwhelmingly commands more requests than his "L's" & that scares the shit out of the high-overhead Dinosuars watching corporate work dry up and unable to compete for the leisure market pie dominated by shakers & gypsy's & we all know happened to the Dino's . The Court ruling simply means that Leib can't use the Prius to pick up at the Tampa airport for now & I do emphasize the "for now". Until other legal remedies are exhausted, Leib can still run the Prius throughout the State and even drop his passengers off at TIA.

So, back on target, where does LCT get off stating that operators running the Prius or any lower cost hybrid vehicle such as the Camry are "posers" and the customers saving a few bucks "suckers"?

Typical "protect the revenue stream" LCT hack job commentary. I can't wait until Leib returns from his trip & forwards Martin's comments to eco-groups now building force behind him & his crusade.

The point is a Prius cannot be considered a luxury chauffeured vehicle because 1) It's too small; 2) The wheelbase is too short; 3) It lacks a big, smooth luxury ride; 4) The engine doesn't have performance, endurance, or stamina of a V-8 to handle many multipe runs daily. These points have amply been pointed out by operators.
