The company may be kaput (or at least their website) but the folder is here for owners (or prospective buyers of used Vikings) to discuss the coachbuilder amongst ourselves.

Well, I was there couple of weeks ago and talked to them ...

They sure had some restructuring but are building cars, we saw a few in various production stages. They also do some custom and exotic work like Hummers, Mercedes and BMW's (X5 SUV).

Their website will be back up as soon as the 2005 models are released - that info is current as of today, when we spoke to Paul Riccardi.

IMHO, they sure are not kaput

8 years later.... I just spoke to Paul at Viking. Still there, and gave me some advice on a Viking Coach Cadillac I bought a couple of weeks ago. Nice guy and I'll be talking to him regularly.

1 more year... I recently considered buying from them as they are super close. I met with them and they had a small mildly active shop. I was scared off by the fact that they had no new car builds going on, and wanted 75% down for the stretch. Very odd

Another year later - I am still having intermittent problems with the 99 DeVille I bought used. I called Viking last week and spoke with Paul. They are still in business but on a smaller scale. I got him in touch with my mechanic and it looks like we may have figured out the problem. Melted wires on a Cadillac OEM harness which Viking extends through a steel tube to the front of the car. The mechanic found it finally and has parts of the way. Paul said they are building cars but we didn't get into specifics. I will say that the build quality of this 99 Cadillac, aside from the Cadillac part is first rate. The car is solid and rides like a dream when it's running right.
