Urgent advise needed: battery light 05 excursion tiffany
Hi Everyone
Need help figuring out the following problem:
Intermittent Battery light
2005 ford excursion tiffany 120k miles
On Saturday: suv limo was perfect no battery light
(6 hour reservation)
On Sunday:
during idling the driver noticed the battery light come on a few times. About 4 times the battery light came and went.
But when he revved the engine, the light went away.
(Also a 6 hour reservation)
Today:
I left the limo on for 6 hours on idle and no battery light.
The limo has:
2 brand new batteries (main and aux battery)
1 brand new alternator
1 alternator is a year old

As mentioned above, try the OEM alternator. Also, I believe the alternator that was in this SUV, had higher output than normal alternator, check what that was, and then buy that one with OEM from dealer. Since the SUV pulls a lot of amps, aftermarket alternator will fry out faster.
