what most Uber drivers don't understand is Google which will be the first to launch the unmanned driven car, will own and take all there clients and data and put them out of business once drivers are not needed! hahaha crazy but true!

So due to recent glitch, I was not able to post anything for last 5 months, I was just allowed by our beloved admin and now I can post. I tried to open different ID under various emails but nothing worked, and since things are now working, I am feeling great to write and be connected again. Thanks zcar.

I have a lot of clients in NJ who use Uberx in NYC, but they hate Uber in NJ. The Uberx in NJ is terrible services; home boys running a lousy operation. A few owner operator joined uber black in recent time, and uber intentionally puts them in to uberx, and later changed them to uber black after some complaints from driver. Drivers are hanging out at train stations, airports for hours without getting a single call. All 4 guys who joined uber black that I know have already quit.
    .
We were worried and afraid that uber will take over too much of our work, but as of now may be less than 7-10% on revenue, even if that... Most companies in NJ can offer black car service and SUV service far cheaper than Uber, and way better quality and reliability for sure. Only the last minute calls should go to Uber which we can't really manage much anyway; those who like uberx, good for them, we have no interest in competing with them either.
    .
As far as a reliable and safe transportation is concerned, we can compete with uber very well and we are okay.

A recent review let me know that the professional pre arranged car service will still be needed apparently:

My company's experience with Uber has been a horrible and costly one.
I ordered a car for the COO of the company that I work for to take her to the airport. We incurred a cost of $1087.50 to change the ticket to the following day.
First, the driver that was sent did not know the streets.
    2. I contacted Delta, they were willing to change the ticket to a later flight for only $50, but then the Driver gets a FLAT TIRE! -
    3. I entered the destination when I requested the ride, however the driver showed up unaware of where he was heading.
    4. We tried several times to contact the driver during this ordeal, to make sure his passenger, my boss was safe as she had not reached the airport, and had not returned home, The driver would not answer the phone! I ordered this ride for the COO of the company, a very important Business Partner, and due to this mishap, the company may never want to use Uber again. This has been a very expensive price to endure due to the driver having a flat tire.
    5. Of course we have YET to hear from an Uber representative!!!!

    Utterly unexceptable!

What cost $1087.50? A trip to the airport?

No I think it was rebooking her flight ticket. Even Surge pricing is not that bad.

A concealed shotgun?? Weird. Regardless. If it was a LEO it would of been 20 rounds.

In an attempt to find innovative solutions to the transportation problems plaguing the Bay area, Hillsborough Area Regional Transit authority has reached out to the private sector in developing a new program with the working name of First Mile/Last Mile.
Two companies that HART has met with: Uber and Lyft.
