Default Just Received Miami Dade Civil Violation

Hello, I am Broward County Limousine Operator. I received a citation from Miami-Dade Inspection officer while picking up a in Miami and transporting back to Broward. Any tips on how to proceed? Its a $1,000 fine. Should I hire an attorney or just pay it?

Since a meeting of operators just finished yesterday in Miami, I was expecting this to be a bit juicier.

Nice to here they finally enforced the permit regulations. I wish other county's would follow suit. If you don't have a permit to do pickups in Miami you should not be booking jobs that originate in that county. Sorry friend looks like you are out $1,000.

I was under the impression that Miami offered reciprocation with neighboring counties. Do a check 1st. If no luck, go to your state reps office & start raising hell & don't stop. This county by county licensing rip offs serves no purpose except to protect those who are to ignorant to effectively compete.

That's confusing because in your original post you said that you picked up n Miami. So, which is it?

We just had a transportation provider revoked by the City of Birmingham. I believe there will be a higher level of enforcement after the Limo's catching fire in California nationwide.

I believe the bottom line is, who knows what and when.

Also, at our Airport, there was a tragic death and injuries to family members when a passenger display fell on family.

I think afflimo is from Broward and picked up passengers in Miami to take back to Broward.

Doesn't it matter where it originated? Example picked up in Broward, dropped in Miami at a club, picked up from Miami club, dropped off back in Broward.
