Default Workers Compensation and automobile accidents

The following link is a short yet interesting article from Insurance Journal discussing the findings that automobile accidents are the leading cause of severe (costly) Workers Compensation claims. http://www.insurancejournal.com/news.../18/274405.htm

    Cliff-notes:

-Distracted driving continues to be a leading cause of accidents and near accidents, and employers can play a big part in encouraging
    safe practices and procedures.

-Motor vehicle accidents are more severe than the average workers’ compensation claim; top diagnoses include neck injuries; duration is more than a third longer.

-Fatal accidents are lower, with severe, non-fatal accidents increasing.

Remember, they are always Independent Contractors until their airbag inflates.

Not that's too funny, but so true!!
I want to die while asleep like my grandfather,
not screaming in terror like the passengers in his car.
