    Default Cooler not draining

I have a DaBryan 120". Believe it or not, this is the only limo that I have ever had that I have not had a problem with the coolers draining (until now). Always been an easy fix - clean off the drain, or blow out the drain line. Started out, the floor was wet. After finding out the clients did not have a cooler in the back, we started checking the drains. Most limos have the drain tubes coming through the frame rails. There are none on this one. We poured water in the rear cooler, and it did not drain outside anywhere. I assume it went on the floorboard. Hard to tell since it is already wet. We poured water in the front cooler, and it is running out under the bottom of the outside side panel somewhere. Can not tell exactly where from, but I know it should not be coming out where it is. Tried to put a hose down the drain from the inside, but it doesn't go down but about an inch. Evidently the drains for the cooler and champagne well are tied together.

Looks like one of my drivers may have bottomed out and scraped the rail at some point in time, but not real recent. I thought maybe it scraped and tore off the drain tubes, but that seems unlikely.

Any ideas (without having to pull the whole bar out)???

If a driver did scrape the bottom it might have torn the drain tube off at the frame but not above the level of the frame, so you may still have tubing present to keep you from putting a new tube in.

If you can get your drain filters off, maybe buy a long drill bit that just fits inside the drain opening and drill out the old tube in order to insert a new length of tube?

Can't really think of a reason why it would not still drain unless when it got scraped it melted the end of the tubing closed....
    Thank you,

Jerry, there should be a screen at the bottom. I find that over time paper from bottled water or labels on beers clog the drain. Then mold and mildew grow. We then toothbrush the screen and pour in some bleach. If this does not work one of your tubes must be pinched for some reason. Also DaBryan uses igloo plastic bins instead of stainless. Maybe there is a hairline crack in that bin?

I use those igloo coolers and they have cracked in the past. There are two separate walls and insulation in the middle. Does the seat go up to the edge of the bar? I had to fix my cooler before and i took the seat out and cut a huge hole with a sawall in the side of the bar under the seat where it isn't visible. Post some pics if possible.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I don't think there is a crack in it. I poured water straight down the drain hole. None of the drains in this car have a screen over them. It appears there is a "tee" on the drain going from the cooler over to the champagne well, and looks like there is another "tee" there also. Not sure if the other cooler and champagne well are tied to these or not. I left to go to the beach last week the day this happened, and the carpet was still wet at the time, so we couldn't tell much. They dried it out while I was gone, so I think the next step will be to blow some smoke (a trick I learned a long time ago to find a leak in a hose) in the drain and try to see where it goes. If that doesn't work, we will pour some water in again to see where it goes. Brandon, the J seat is on the opposite side of the car from the bar.

I have used a wire hanger, screw driver and even a drill clear or make the hole bigger. Most of the time it is gunk, gum, a penny stuck in there.

If you have a compressed air sounds like a good idea. I then tell my guys to pour a bucket of hot water down the drain.

Jerry seems like your problem is not the hole but the space around the outside of the hole and the stainless steel. A very common thing as the plug gets loose and the silicon around it gets old. Put some silicon around the hole to make sure it has a tight seal and that should solve your problem.

This was an answer to ours - took me 2 weeks to figure that one out. Only thing is, ours was still draining outside the car, just the carpet would get wet too. Weird how yours is not having any water draining outside of the car - could the hose have come disconnected from the cooler? If it was plugged, I don't see why it would drain...the space around the hole wouldn't drain that fast, I wouldn't think. Maybe a few things going on (maybe one of the "t"s have come apart)?

I used Blue RTV instead of regular silicone. Reason is the first time I used clear silicone and within a few months it started leaking again. The blue silicone doesn't look as nice, but it has held up for 2 years now.
