Thread: 99 Towncar stretch needs front ac condensor

Default 99 Towncar stretch needs front ac condensor

Where can I buy the front ac condenser of my 1999 Lincoln Towncar 8 pax stretch limo.

It is the smaller, located right in the front, would Checkers, Napa sell this one or anybody knows what is the size or what they call it?

    Thank you for your help.

MTG has a section for ac parts. You will be over charged for it just because It's a limo.

Is it just leaking? I would take it to a radiator shop (if you can still find one) and have them clean sweat it.

That is a good idea. There is a radiator shop near us. They are a dying bread.

Ford dealer should sell it (or be able to get it).

I think he is talking about the condenser the coach builder added for the rear ac. This can't be bought at the dealer. But if it is the factory one, heck you can get that at Auto zone for like $90.

If it is not a "stock" item sold by Ford (even limo parts are sold by Ford even though they are limo parts...ie: suspension airbags that are bigger for limos) , I would bet that it is still off a Ford car. If you can find a parts store patient enough, take it in and find its match. MTG doesn't have parts specifically made just to sell for limos - they are from something else and are usually off of Lincoln cars.

Thank you all for the answers.

Talked to Redline Auto Parts and they are asking me the number that is on it to match it.

I will need to take it out tomorrow because I can't see it.

It is not repairable has a big hole.

Just get the autozone one and cut it in half, right?

Just making sure - you're not talking about the trans cooler, right?

I believe he is talking about this little booger minus the fans. http://www.mtgparts.com/mastrair/shr...fan-condenser/ I plan to put a fan or 2 on mine to see if it will get colder. It should, Im just worried itll put too much on the alt and Ill have to go dual.

Having hard time to find one in Hawaii and the old is beyond repair.

Now my questions, are, would a different size condenser work? as long it fits right in where the old one was?

The old is '22 by '12 inches.

    Thank you.
