Default Opera lights or no opera lights?

When I bought my 97 the previous owner had removed the opera lights when he had the car re-painted a few years ago. I am up in the air on buying and mounting new ones. What do some of you think? I personally think they give a limo its appeal and its swagger if you may, friends I have here in the industry say the absense of them gives the car a newer look. Any opinions?

My opinion is to put them back on, it's a safety thing. When an extra-long vehicle has no side lights, especially a Black car, it is harder for others to see at night.

Just get the newer style lights and it will look newer. New paint looks great btw.

Would deffinately go with the new style LED lights and yes Digger, my fear exactly, when parked or driving in a congested area and someone backs into the side of it because its hard to see at night! You also want a limo to stand out and be seen when its out truefully I think it looks like just an ordinary car, especially at night unless you are up close to it.

I always worried about the safety part when David had the car, it didn't help that the previous owner (before David) painted all of the Chrome on it either, Black is hot but too much Black can be a night-time hazzard.

All of the black is going to slowly disappear. Chrome fender trim is in the garage already and chrome door and body trim is next to be ordered. Dave went to a lot of trouble making it a black and I'm un-doing all his work..lol

Actually, Dave may have done some touch-up but when he bought it, it was already minus Chrome and opera lights.

It really needs the opera lights. It looks like something is missing.

I think it looks sleek without the opera lights but I can definitely see the safety concerns.

YES! I have 16 on each side of my 95, 130" and it was pricey to replace them all but I did it, and I also just had a complete paint and new top..

I have to admit, it looks like the vehicle wasn't finished. From what I can see in the picture the car looks nice for it's age, but without the opera lights it just seems to lose something. Putting the lights back on with the newer style would spice it up in my opinion....Again this is just my taste in what I like when it comes to limousines.

Lights will make that car pop , plus the safety factor. I always thought that car was to dark at night. The new LED ones will look great on that car. Get your BMV stuff worked out ? If you ever need anything give us a call We are very close
