    Default Hello everyone

Finally signed up for the forum. I have been looking around the site for a few years now and am amazed at all the information it has to offer. I own a coachbuilder that specializes in Mercedes Sprinter limousine and shuttle conversions and also own a small limousine service. Initially we got into operating vehicles as a way to educate ourselves on what operators go through with their vehicles to help us improve our coachbuilding. My background is from the parts side of the limousine industry, worked for MTG for 8 years as an engineer. Hopefully I can help out with some technical questions on here from time to time.

Welcome Carl , Love that area up there. We go to Shipsawanna sometimes for things for our carriages. Seems like a lot of people are starting to use Sprinters

Lucky for us, the Sprinter is taking off very well now. It's a good 10 pack stretch alternative.

SO I was loking at a 16 pass sprinter van a while back for $74,000 brand new with mid back seating and no luagage space. And decided to buy a e350 16 pass mini coach with level 6 high back seats, rear luagage, v10 engine for $52,000.00 And being a ford, parts are cheaper.

Even for a limo bus, it is easier to get a E450 to hold 14 pass super comfortably amd up to 18 versus a sprinter limo van which holds only 12 or 14 tight for the same amount of money.

I totally agree. A Ford E450 is less expensive and is much more versatile.
