    Default llegal question for newbie

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and have used it a few times as a method of research. I was wondering if anyone could answer my question about lighting. Due to my laser lights on the bus other passing vehicles are able to see some lighting that is being used on the inside of the bus. I was wanting to know if this will become a issue with authorities? Is there a law against this?? Thanks

Perhaps. Or maybe not. The best thing to do would be to check with the authorities wherever it is that you operate and ask them.

I personally wouldn't worry about it, as long as it's not way out of control.

As long as it isn't projected forward from the vehicle, you shouldn't have a problem.

Wasn't it Geoff that got in trouble for the cars next door seeing something on TV?

If you are worried about it, then fix it. Obvisouly, you are worried enough to post it on here, so save your nerves and take care of it. Sometimes money spent on keeping your stress level down is the best money spent.

I wouldn't say i got in trouble, but yes. The police officer at the Ducks game wasn't very happy that he saw X rated activity on the tv inside the limo. He told me I needed to put up some curtains because the tint wasn't sufficient. My solution is to tell clients not to watch porn where children might see it.

But in this case, TV isn't what is being discussed. It is laser lighting which is okay for children to witness.

Should of asked the LEO if it would of been ok to play horror flicks depicting gruesome murders.

I have to guess the original question was about the possibility of extraneous laser lighting being a potential hazard to other motorists (i.e., kids hanging around an overpass or airport with a laser pointer).

Right, I just thought it to be a pertinent time to bring up Geoff's story because it makes me laugh.

    That would be my concern.

For the most part if any red or blue lights are flashing outside it is going to be a problem. Best advice is fix it.

I wish I had a video of the office saying, "I saw blow jobs!"(sorry if it offends, but exact quote". He said It in disgust with a cracking voice. The best part was I didn't crack a smile and played dumb.

As far as the laser lights, I don't think it's a big deal as far as safety. I think if a cop wanted to be nasty, he could pull you over under the emergency lights law(blue or red if not mistaken).
