Thread: Working on our 4th party bus!

Default Working on our 4th party bus!

I have a question for you guys, Should we put a tv in this party bus? I have at least one tv in my other 3 party buses but no one ever seems to really care for them. Just a thought? I could use the monies for more lighting. What are your thoughts?

Put a TV in but put a DVD player in and have it so you can turn the sound on the DVD player on from the CD player if you need to. Then they will most likely listen to music but you can run a visual DVD at the same time. Sometimes I have people bring music video DVD's, and I know of one company that downloads music videos from youtube and provides them on DVD for the clients to use. Now a days you can get both a DVD player and a 32" TV for $300-350 so you can pay for that in one run easily.

Having a TV/DVD is a must. If you don't install one, everyone will say that you need one. No, they don't really watch it but they expect it to be there and will constantly tell you that you need one. Install it and find a cool video to play on it to add to the ambiance of the interior.

I'm currently shopping for my first limobus. I've thought playing the Aquarim DVD or Fireplace DVD would be a good background video for the TV. Anyone doing this currently?

We do mostly wine tours so we went out and took pictures of all the wineries around and good scenery and put it on a dvd and play it as a slide show on the tv. Our customers really like it.

Since I mainly do the party crowds I have cool vids that just blow all kinds of shapes and colors all over the screen, everyone loves them.

In the limousines I switch between aquarium, fireplace and waterfall vids.

We do about 50 % weddings 25% corporate & 25% partys. We do not have a T V in any of our buses. NO one has ever said anything to us. I think if you have a quality service they love what you have to offer. Kinda like if you walk in to a pizza resturante & look around you dont order steak.

This is a great idea, thanks for sharing. We do a ton of wine tours also and I think I'll try this. The only problem I run into is that a lot of our cars have the DVD player build into the head unit, so customers can't watch a slide show while listening to the radio/cd/ipod. If I had my choice, every car would have a separate DVD player.

I've been thinking about putting one of these in, I think they would work good.

When I bought my car it had an old video casette player mounted under the dash on the passenger side but it was wired to the tv in the back. So I bought a 12v dvd player and installed it in the same place and just pluged it in. But the tv is an older tube type (not flat screen) with it's own speaker so the sound quality isn't the best but it's ok.
    The stereo system is seperate.

So I guess a tv is a must!?

Brandon what tv/dvd do you use?

Digger what dvd do you use for the parties? I have the fireplace, aquarium one but am looking for something to different for the party goers. I am currently using hip hop vids for them,

We have a DJ here who makes us quality mix dvd's of music videos of all the top songs and puts our logo and our drops on the mix. He advertises a little on there as well but people love the DVD's! It makes the bus look more professional with a couple of tv's. Our last build we put 5!
