Funny quote request.

This guy sent me a 3 paragraph quote request for a 6 hour wine tour on a Saturday. He specifically said he wanted a stretch limo(for 4 people) and not a sedan and finished off with his wanting to spend no more than $250 all inclusive. I resisted congratulating him from waking from a deep coma(from the 80's) and/or telling him to call Avis or take the city transit. Instead I just sent him a proper quote, way above his budget.

LMBO! Yea every so often I get people calling me asking if we have a "hummer limo" I always say, "NO limos are for losers do you want to be a winner or a loser" LOL and they always reply with, "I wanna be a winner!" lol some of them end in bookings and some don't, I have fun tho!

Cute. But it's funny you say that, the other day as I am telling this guy on the phone that we are not the company for you, I was thinking here we go again with the yelp reviews. My motto, customers can choose a company for service, we can choose customers to service.

I just did my first Prom tonight. It was the "Friends of Scott" red carpet prom party for the kids with cancer at Childrens Hospital. The kids had a blast. Someone needs to find a cure(or at least share the existing one rumored about) now.

Well I did it again. I hear a phone call going and keep hearing "yes, you can do that" "yes, we can do that" "yes, we can decorate the limousine" "What type of event do you have?" "oh" "yes, we have a red carpet" and so on. I say "put the call on hold" and am told they want to go to Viejas (local casino) they have no special event and want a car for 6 hours but don't think they will need it that long and might just want to drive around for an hour downtown. I was told she called a few hours ago asking for a dozen different peoples names, before she started in with a bunch of questions. I took a simular call a few days ago, so I say transfer the call. I start with "what limo company are you calling from?" Sounds like we are bing shopped and not very well. She claims shes not and says she has been calling limo companies for days. I say do you need a red carpet? She says "no, but another company said they had one and it sounded "neat". I told her to quit calling us. She can pick a company to use and we can pick customers to service and we don't pick you. So after giving her a number to call 6192616341 (Limo Kings) and told her to ask for Geoff, I hung up.

Ours Prom Start on Mid April to Mid June. Only 2 Months.

I allready have our prom page online, so saves about 50% of the calls on how much a limo is.

Oh, great. That makes 2 personal thank you's I owe you, Jasen(the other when Steve's bus broke down and you told him to call me at midnight). But seriously, I don't think she was calling from a limo company.The whole red carpet thing makes her sound like an amateur that is just trying to learn everything she can by pitting everyone against each other. But at the end of the day, I'll still give her a quote.

While we were all trying to give her a price, some limo company was EDUCATING the client on why thier limo company stands out from the rest and extra special things that they do.

I don't fault calling around. I fault she has called our company at least 3 times that I knew of, with a dozen questions that were irrelavent to her situation. She had been calling for 3 days. She is renting a limo not buying it. If she is this big of a problem and has not even booked, she will be a huge problem when it comes time for service.
