OK there was a problem with the Sim card making a connection. But now that it is working I was able to see the log from the weekend runs. This is a great addition to our biz. We had a new driver doing his first solo run to MCO in the 10 pass. We where able to see if he was speeding and if he took the most direct rout. Now that we have it wouldn't be without it.

Just as a warning, Do Not choose TeleTrac. The equipment don't work. We have had an tech out here 3 times and our units still only track when they want. Seems like TeleTrac GPS require a nice Sunny 80 degree day with no moisture and no wind, then they might just might work. Chances are they still won't. I could receive better customer support from a kindergarten class.

I had teletrac before I met Drew on the Forum. I was paying the same as 5 units with teletrac and 12 with virtual fleet.
Also the equpiment was expensive, and everytime I had to replace a sedan I had to call in a tech and pay $150.00 to remove the system from the old car and put it in the new car.

Virtual fleet has been so easy to use with downloading any software. Teletrac we had to download a software and keep adding updating the software.

Even MTG has a similar product but I still am a big fan of virtual fleet.

We did the plug in. Just got an update from my wife they have been working with her all day. It was a problem on their end. The customer service has been great. Hopefully no more problems.

It's embarrassing to have to post two responses in the first couple of days with working with our company. I will cut right to the chase with the reasons that I have been informed of so far-- the first time the SIM card needed to be activated on a specific system. This time we were trying to get the device to be compatible (since it has to be plugged in to the vehicle) and to be totally transparent, but I believe one command over the error was sent incorrectly. We have to send a series of commands and wait for a device from the response. While we track what we send, it was simply missed as being incorrect. That is the simple reason All that to say, we genuinely are apologetic and hope nothing else happens again. If something ever does, we will be on top of it immediately. I know these small devices seems simple, but especially the plugin type require a lot of technologies to work seamlessly real time and we just have to continue to learn from the challenges. On behalf of the company again, I apologize.

    Mike,

I urge you to give it a chance. I have 7 units (6 wired & 1 plug in), and have been very happy with them. I believe what you are experiencing is a very rare problem. Once you have it working correctly, you will wonder how you ever operated without it. And I assure you, you will not find better customer service anywhere. Good luck!
