There is only one negative that I have to say about this car. The design of the back is not to my taste. Those big lights on sort of flat hatch. I think the back is just straight fugly. Rest of the car is pretty good but designers screwed up the back of the car. Its sort of reminds me of a pt cruiser back with more lights. You guys like the way it looks in the back??

Lincoln is bringing back the fugly style.

    Remember the Mark VIII

Fuuuugly as the Mk whatever you call it.

...don't kill the town car. It's regal, classic, and so rich looking.

Think they will relize their mistake and bring the TC back? This doesn't make sence why cut off the police an livery business.

They're not cutting off the police, just us. They have a new purpose-built police interceptor.

From the pictures I have seen it probably would look better as a Limo than a patrol car. Way to much chrome. i hear Chevrolet is going to use the Holden as their purpose built Municipal car.

There is a back door, it's the new L door that is as long as the car. HA !!

Personally, I think that Ford really goofed in dropping the entire Panther chassis. This chassis was used for Police, fire, taxi and our little market. I doubt that the limo world played near the role that the police, fire and taxi world does, but either way they really goofed when they lost these markets. Even our little city has turned to the Dodge Charger for the new cop cars.

In my opion this is evolution. The full frame V8 is most long ago. To much cost to manufactor (steel) to much gasoline to move and is old and has outdated seating. And that taxi/police chassis is that a Tarus platform? I'm not a fan of the back either but let's see what develops.

I just wish cars rode like they used to. It seems that "a nice ride" today is stiff and you feel every darn bump in the road. To me, a "nice ride" is like the Lincoln's and other cars were in the 70's and 80's. Back then the car would float over bumps and THAT was a smooth ride. Obviously seats have suffered over the years too, seats are hard now and have lost that soft and comfy couch feeling.

Everything is cheap now compared to the old days... and they have us convinced that it's better now.

The big thing most people do not know is the police & fire cars are sold on a bid price and there is little to no $$$ in those cars. To lose that share , is more of not having a Ford in front of the public eye. With these times, it is more about $$$ and Police cars and Limousines are a very ,very small share of the market that the big three are looking at these days
