I was fortunate enough to meet Dean last week. He enjoyed life, limousines, and sharing. His lessons shall live on forever and will help many succeed. God bless you, Dean.

    Default Farewell my friend

I was deeply saddened when I learned of my friend Dean's passing. Many of you know that I also considered Dean my mentor. His trips to my home town meant the world to me. He was always a phone call away and called often to check up on me or to rebuke me for a post here. He frequently called upon me to ask about how I handled certain things which was an honor from a man I called upon for eleven years to ask how I should do something.

He was always there to lend his advice and eagerly desired to continue learning about new methods of doing things to stay current with times. He was entrenched in the industry and rarely missed a show. He spent time at LCT Magazine and Limo Digest Magazine and got me my first writing gig at Digest. He also nominated me for Operator of the Year for Digest in 2005 and I won! He bestowed upon me the nickname Grandmaster Luff. I will forever be grateful.

His brother Jim would make the trips to Bakersfield and they were very close. When my wife and I went to New Orleans, Dean was a fabulous host to us. Jim will be handling the funeral arrangements. I will provide any information I hear.

May you rest in peace Dean. You gave your all to us "civilians" as you called many people.
