    Default 180 Excursion with vibration

Our excursion has a vibration now and it is driving me nuts. It all started with a bad tire, it blew out. Then I started to notice a vibration above 40 mph. So we replced the other 3 tires and balanced them. Still have a vibration. I think Sunday I will remove the drive shaft and see if thats the problem. I hope it just needs u joints and a balance. Ther is nothing more anoying than a vibration.

    Could be the carrier bearing.

I'm not sure if it's drive line related. Because the vibration is there with my foot on or off the gas and I put it in neutral at like 50 mph and it still vibrates. We are busy all week so I wont have time to mess with it till Sunday. No days off for me this week.....

I'd rotate them front to back to rule out a bent wheel. Good luck.

That's what I was just thinking. Whatever blew the tire may have bent a rim just a little.

We have a roadforce balancer and I did measure the runout on the rims. They didn't look too strait. But before we drop $$$ on a set of rims I'm gonna check everything first.

Fixed !!! It was a bad set of tires. I took it with me to work today and had Firestone send me a better set of tires. AHHHHH nice and smooth.

Thank you for sharing that update because I am about to switch to some $200 Firestone Destination A/T's from $400 Goodyear GS-A's. I'll definitely check for vibration.

The first set we bought from Firestone were called Iron Man. Now we have Firestone Trans force HT. The Excursion did an 8 hr run last night and was nice and smooth.
