Default best subwoofer/amp setup without losing trunk space. 1999 TC 120" ECB

Just wondering what's a good place to install the sound system without sacrificing any trunk space. Has anyone ever done anything other than the trunk? Maybe 1 small sub fit really well somewhere, etc... Would like to hear some ideas.

Gives new meaning to "Rumble Seat"... Anyone else picturing a scene from the howard stern movie? Heck of a "perk" to advertise...

Some things to consider in doing so (if you were just going to cut a hole to mount it):

Ventilation for the Amp, they can put out some heat
If you are directly mounting the speaker to the base under the seat, and there is not decent ventilation, port holds as a sub moved a lot of air and should have "room to breathe"
Also if mounted directly, since this is down at foot level, buy or make a good solid grill to go across it over top of the wire mesh or cloth.

There are "slim" Self-Amplified Subwoofer that fit EASILY under most seats...unless they are Power Seats.

An example of one: BOSS BX5340

500-Watt Low Profile Subwoofer with Remote Control Gain. It's Less than 3" high, 10"x14".

One of my Distributors sells it for $95....we sell it for $150. Relatively easy to install too.

SEVERAL companies make a similar product.
