    Default door ajar issue

Hi guys, I am working right now on trying to nail down a door ajar switch issue on a 2000 LTC, 120". I read some other threads in the forum here and I know this is an issue on these cars. I just got this car. I also think that it is affecting my air bags - which is my main concern. Also, the lights stay on in the car which is annoying. Anyhow, I don't know which door is causing the problem but I am thinking , can I bypass the switch in the door? I already have one of the rear doors apart trying to fix a faulty handle mechanism (also seemed like a good place to start with my wiring issue). I see the switch in there and just wondering if anyone can tell me which wires do what, does it just feed a ground to one wire if the door is open or closed or is there another wire that completes a circuit? I am thinking just bypass the switch and then it won't come on. Can't see a downside to that - especially on the rear doors.

Well, found the wires in the door for the switch, just not sure if the switch is open or closed when the door is open.

Got it. Was the switch in the second rear door I checked. What I did was just cut the wires in the rubber "tunnel" that connects the door to the body of the vehicle. For future reference, if anyone else wants to try this, it is the small black wire and small black/orange wire in there. I cut the two wires and spliced them together, effectively bypassing the door switch. Also, without taking the whole door apart. Warning light went off. Problem solved.
