need advise

i have a 15 passenger van in nj. can anyone give any ideas how to make a living from this;is it better to sell it and buy a lincon town car;thanks

I don't know about your area, but you can pack and run Town Cars all day long. It will take some doing, and corporate contracts, to pack that van on a daily basis.

My first vehicle was a 120 stretch, and I'm making the switch to sedans and SUVs, since I'm tired of running my stretch like an airport car.

Look into setting up an airport shuttle operation or depending on your location in NJ, a shuttle operation back and forth into NYC. Combine that with group charters to transportation hubs & money can be made.

I agree with Gunny. Set up a service to make 2-4 regular shuttle trips to the airport from one location. Park and ride, grocery store, shopping mall lot, ect.

I know of both business and personal travelers who are stuck trying to find someone to drive them to the AP so they don't have to leave a car.

I'd suggest two am runs, 2-3 pm runs. Same hours Mon- Sat. Sundays by appt.

Would work out well. Advertise in the newspaper and at local travel agancies.

thanks for all the advises.can you give me any idea where to look for licences and or how much the insurance is going to be about.i know for a town car doing airports is around 6000$.also any forums;thanks

Try using classifieds and advertise your private service to the airport, moving, shuttle. Organize Atlantic City trips in groups twice a week, etc. Talk to travel agencies and other shuttle van services.

Hi All:
For two years i did studies of vehicle activity. 80% is Lincoln work because Lincoln town cars in New York can be used for anything, including proms, and all nyc limo packages. The world is desperate for good and reliable transportation, and Lincoln Town Cars can be used for anything.

I think a 15 passenger van will do. If someone calls you and ask I you can transport 6 people what are you going to say NO!. I think you would have more better chance with a van. You can always transport 1 person in a van I think
