The biggest part of our business will be providing a limousine service from downtown Los Angeles area hotels to LAX and Burbank airports for business travelers. Please let me know any comments or suggestions that you might have regarding this type of service. Thanks in advance for your help. Steve.

What is your business doing now?
What the main reason for wanting to go this route?

Hey Karl, thanks for your message. We're a new business starting service this year. We decided to stay away from the wedding, graduation, etc. stretch limo business, and focus on more reliable business travelers. We are going to primarily service business travelers from downtown Los Angeles hotels to LAX and Burbank airports, starting with two limo's. Are you currently in the limo business? Regards, Steve.

I would think this would be a tough nut. Every major hotel in Los Angeles has either:

A - A contract with a limousine service
B - Complimentary shuttle service with their own van
C - Contracted shuttles with Super Ride etc.

You can't even hang out on the property at the Peninsula Hotel if you are not from Dav El who has this contract locked up for years.

It just seems like a really rough choice to make inroads when no major hotel in Los Angeles I know is currently accepting RFP's at this time.

I guess if you target your advertising and marketing to the consumer/traveler instead of the properties people can make a choice about traveling. Then when they get in the room they will find the "hotel limo" is lower in cost than you are charging or free because of the contract between the hotel and the limo company.

Good luck though. You never know until you try.
