I used to love ford. They built a good product and stood behind it. Well my love of ford is forever gone. In Dec 05 we purchased an 05 expedition new off the lot. On 21 June something in the fuel rail malfunctioned causing gas to get into the oil and the camshaft ate itself. They replaced the engine taking only 3 1/2 calender weeks or 14 bussiness days due to holidays. All the time I am on the phone with ford coustomer care for at least forty-five minutes a day being told some one will call me back with 48hrs the called three days after we got the car back to say they would continue with the repair process as quickley as possible. One week after I notice an oil leake under the car take it back 3 bolts on the oil pan aren't there. At two weeks 1,000 miles the car is idleling rough and has started to start hard the dealer say rough idle charactheristic of engine so I take it to my shop and the tell me that bolts in the bell housing are lose and the idle is wrong. My hands are tied by warranty as to who can fix the car so I take it to a different ford dealer and they tell me once it accually breaks they can warranty it but until then its a labor issue and I have to go back to the original dealer. Just wanted to vent and see if this is common.

I can't remember the time limit for rejecting a vehicle but you may find the Lemon law a useful tool in order to get it replaced or a refund, try it, its worth the effort, you could also go to the local press and see if they are interested in writing an article, if they say yes go back to the dealer and see if suddenly they can do anything you want once they know !
