Greetings --We have a Fine Dining/lounge in a tourist area and 3 indian casino within 1/2 hour to 3/4 of and hour . We are about 5 miles from any town, during the summer months business is good but winter sets in It gets pretty slow during the week .And the way the drunk driving laws have gotten people are not driving and partying as much, at least the older crowd. My question is would it be fesible to get a car and cater to the higher end clientel around the lake and the casinos? And what would a person charge ? Thanks Bill

You will really need to research several things to obtain even a rough estimate.

What is your target market, and how big is that pool of prospective clients?

What will the market in your area bear, or, what are other livery companies getting for providing that same service in your area?

Is the market saturated, or is there room for your business to operate profitably?

What will your expenses be? You must know what your overhead will be before you can formulate a reasonable figure for what you must charge to survive.

Can you actually become licensed to provide this service? Some areas are quite restrictive, and it takes a lot of effort and time for a new entrant to get up and running.

Answer these questions, and you may have some hope of deciding if there is a need for the service, and upon a reasonable fee structure.

Starting out I want to just use the service to bring clients to the restaurant from the casinos or from around the lake that we are on . There aren't any livery service within 45 miles. If I could break even the first year with the service, that would be fine. After the first year or so I would be able to see what response we had to the service.
Do you know of any Restaurants that provide a service like that ?
