I went to the show in Detroit last week. Was able to look at some of the new equip.
Since I hav 2 limos and spend my time cleaning and providing customer service, I have ideas about making these cars user friendly. What I mean by that is the coach builder should never make the champagne flute holers to hang the flutes upside down. It happens.
What about trash locations on the buses? Flute/glass locations on a 30-40 pass. bus?
As I talked to the different coach builders about what items in their vehicles were not user friendly, many listened but did not seem too receptive.
From poor design to uncomfortable seating they do not seem to care what the people in the trenches think.
"We have been building coaches for years and we know what sells"
Anyones thoughts?

That is why I only use builders that let me design the interior and take my input.

I provide them the same type input at shows yet I wonder how much (if any) ever makes it back from the Sales team to the Design team. A GREAT coachbuilder would have surveys available for people to fill out comments on after touring the vehicle, which would then go to the deisgn team for review and consideration. Or alternatively they would bring in a panel of industry representatives (ie limo owners from various parts of the country) into their shop for independent input in a controlled manner.

You would think that coachbuilders would have some system of discovering what their clients would like to have by the way of designs in their vehicles instead of just following each other when a new item appears on the scene. For instance, having checked several of the new Chryslers the rear door access is pityfull and the low ride height is frustrating, as yet I have not seen any solutions put forward even though rear doors were eventually realised by Ford on their TC.
