We had this happen to us also. We didn't get anywhere with the phone company. We threatened not to pay but,we were afraid to hurt our credit rating.
We don't want every weirdo with a phone book driving to our house! It was scary. Let us know if you have any luck.

O.K. smitstix, on any add for services the law states that your place of business address has to be shown in your add, when you placed your add the paperwork asks for your home address and your place of business address, you must have missed the appropriate section or filled in the same address in both sections. All is not lost, you may be entitaled to a 25% reduction form the fee by telling them that this was your first ever add and it wasn't explained properly to you.

The same thing happen to me on my very first ad,
boy was I pissed I had people showing up here unannounced at odd hours of the day. The thing that bothered me the most was everyone else in the business here now knew where I lived. The phone book people said were sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you, they comped me another ad in another book and that was the solution. So If I were you I would just ask for another ad somewhere else. Pay your ad and move on even though in your mind you should not have to pay for it. Good luck and keep us updated.
