I would like to have feedback from NLA members and non members concerning your experience with the HRH program. Good or Bad.

The way this program was presented, implied that it was the best insurance progam for operators since "Slice Bread". I have received several calls on the contrary. I am concerned that this is a endorsed vendor by the NLA. I am actualy opposed to endorsed vendors since in my opinon, it's a potential conflict of interest.

John:

HRH has asked to quote my insurance here for the last two years. I have sent them pages of loss runs dating back almost 10 years showing no chargeble losses. I have sent them drivers MVR's and vehicle records. They have came back with the same bogus excuse not to quote my insurance. They call it an auto insurance mod. According to HRH our state requires that insurance companies file this auto insurance mod with our state department of insurance. And if the insurer does not file this HRH won't quote. I called our department of insurance and they said this auto insurance mod is not neccessary or required. I think when HRH finds out who is insuring you they then decide if they want to quote. In other words when they saw what I was paying for insurance they declined to quote because I was getting a better deal than they could offer. I have a hard time beleiving that Hartford really wants to get into the limousine insurance business. That is just my opinion.

MY HUSBAND AND I OPERATE A LIMOUSINE COMPANY IN SOUTH CAROLINA AND LAST YEAR HAD HRH QUOTE OUR INSURANCE FOR OUR LIMOUSINES, SEDANS, VANS. THE QUOTE WAS BETTER THAN WE WERE GETTING WITH OUR
PRESENT COMPANY. WE HAVE HAD NO ACCIDENTS, NO CLAIMS, ETC. HOWEVER, WHEN THEY CAME BACK TO QUOTE FOR THE NEW CONTRACT IT WAS MUCH HIGHER THAN THE PRECIOUS YEAR. WE ARE LOOKING FOR A COMPANY THAT DOESN'T PUT EVERYTHING IN ONE BASKET AND CHARGE THE SAME FOR A 1997 PAID FOR 100" LIMOUSINE AND A 2000 NOT PAID FOR 120" LIMOUSINE, VERSUS A 97 SEDAN AND 2000 SEDAN. EVERYTHING IN OUR POLICY IS THE SAME PRICE PER VEHICLE, NO MATTER THE YEAR, ETC. ON MANY VEHICLES ALL WE HAVE IS LIABILITY AND IT IS THE SAME AS THE ONES WE DON'T HAVE LIABILITY INSURANCE ON. THIS DOESN'T SEEM LIKE FAIR PLAY TO US. WHAT DO YOU THINKF? ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR INSURANCE COMPANIES IN OUR STATE.

when i started my service back in oct/nov, i attempted to get a quote from HRH. as the local agent was an old family friend, i felt a certain obligation. after completing the 15 pages of documentation required, i was informed that it would take at least 2-3 weeks just to get a quote, and that additionally they required an additional premises insurance policy. i then contacted two other brokers and had quotes and in fact was insured and operational in 48 hours, (with much less paperwork). had i waited for HRH, i would have lost significant income from those 2-3 weeks operations.

Just a couple of comments in regards to HRH and the LimoPro program they sell. I am currently an HRH customer and have had the LimoPro program for the past several years. The cost of the insurance is definitely higher than many other programs being offered on the limo market but in my opinion it provides some of the broadest coverages. My claim experience with them has been outstanding. They were quick to get out adjusters, repair the vehicle, pay for lost income, etc... which kept the pain and discomfort levels to a minimum.

I have been on the other side looking for cheap premiums and dealing with non "A" rated companies. Been there, done that. Had coverage with an insurance company called "Armor Insurance". One week after I had an accident, the insurance company bankrupted. This left me at the mercy of the State of Florida Insurance Dept assigned personnel to process my claim. My driver was not at fault, the other insurance company refused to even talk to me, luckily one of the state folks stepped up and helped resolve the situation allowing my claim to be processed and my limo repaired.

Cheap isn't always good. HRH and the LimoPro program have been good to me. It costs more, but it is a class product put out by a top notch company.
