My question is why anyone would pay more for a cheaper built car?

I agree. It's a Chrysler, not a luxury car like Cadillac and Lincoln. They are fairly (as Gunny would say) fugly and prone to driveline problems. Why would they command a high price?

Still, people will pay more per hour on the chrysler because they are TIRED of the plain ugly towncar. That is why they will pay for anything BUT a Lincoln. As customer Described: LINCOLNS ARE PLAYED OUT AND BORING.

Yes, they will pay extra $ to show up in something different than plain.

Only we know that its a cheaper car. They dont. Good for us.

Whoever rents a "blinged-out" stretch doesn't give a damn about how well built or cheap it is (they'd probably consider that YOUR problem, not theirs).

The price is what you can get for it. But remember you are also selling your service, as well as the unique features and amenities of the car. So set the price and be done with it. Don't be afraid... you needn't make excuses or allowances.

In my area, 300s get the same rate as Lincolns. I have lost a couple of jobs because they just had to have a 300 and a Lincoln wouldn't do, but most people care way more about price than which type of car it is.

The problem in our market is we used to get $115.00 + 20% service fee per hour for the Chrysler 300 that is until every company in town and around our area sold the Lincolns and purchased 300's. Now their is more than a dozen and it has become a price war. I have heard rates low as $65.00 per hour so the Chrysler has become cheaper than a Towncar. Those days of good money for a 300 are gone and the market is flooded just like Lincolns used to be.

Typically chrysler 300 will rent for more than a towncar, at least in my area. The more of one type of vehicle there is in one area, the less you will be able to get, especially if you have cut rate companies whoring out their vehicles that guarantee the lowest price just to get their cars on the road, like we have here.
