I'm working on purchasing a car from Legendary Coachworks. I thought I had done my homework. But then I saw this thread here: http://limos.infopop.cc/eve/forums?a=tpc&f=8876036732&m...431026543#6431026543 (http://limos.infopop.cc/eve/forums?a=tpc&f=8876036732&m=4741055443&r=6431026543#6431026543) . A few of you mentioned bad experiences. I would be interested in more information. Can you reply here or email me at markeedragon@markeedragon.com if you don't want to post it in public?
Thanks.

You seem to be a glutton for punishment. Why don't you buy from one of the more reputable builders? Krystal, ECB, DaBryan, Federal etc.

Just received a 165" 2007 H2 limo from ECB this morning.
Very Very well built, I am just amazed at the craftsmenship of this company.
And the warranty is good too.
Plus I have had very good after sale service from Krystal and ECB

I have yet to meet someone who operates a Legendary vehicle. I hope to meet one some day, but that alone tells me something. I have met dozens upon dozens who operate and share their love for Krystal, ECB and LCW. That tells me something too.
What do you want? Proven reliability or a dual axle and fancy dance floor? How much more money do you want to pour down the drain on an iffy builder?
One thing I learned from the folks here on this forum before I started in the biz is that if you ask for their advice the group-think response is rarely off the mark. The veterans here have cumulative decades of experience backing up what they say and I am thankful every time they share advice - it has yet to lead me down the wrong path.
Final question - how many happy Legendary customer referrals did you actually talk to before you gave Legendary your down payment? Any at all?
There will always be those in the industry that have to have the latest and greatest cutting edge eye-catching vehicles, including those with dance floors and dual axles. Just be aware that there is a certain amount of risk when you go with bleeding edge so bank and budget accordingly, and have a reliable local affiliate for farm outs if you have a service issue with your vehicle.

I went and priced a 200 inch excursion with them and after all said and done they wanted 95,000 for it. Then i called pinnacle limo and got one built for 78,000 with more upgrades and outstanding quality and a piece of mind warranty wise now my friend who just had a car built with legendary was not so lucky they are jerking him off with warranty issues. It's a real shame because i live so close to them it would be nice to do business with them if i haven't heard issues from different people and try to rip me off!!!!!!!!
P.S I went to show in florida and wasn't impressed with lengendary's show car.

Who is ECB? I hear them talked about a bunch but I don't know who they are.

Wish I would have thought about it and I would have looked at the Legendary vehicle at the Florida show for you and given you some feedback.

I do want to say that I did do research into Legendary before making a purchase with them. I was actually a bit shocked when I saw this other thread. Or should I saw I was disappointed that I did not find this information before hand. I did however address this with Legendary. I have very good communication with them and I have a very custom vehicle being built by them.
I could have had ECB, Krystal or others build the car for us. But we were not able to get the options we wanted. This vehicle needs to be a work of art. Others in the fleet will not have the same requirements and another builder may be a better fit for those.
I'm sure all of you will find out how my experience is with them. I'm very vocal on my blog and I'll tell it as I see it. http://limos.infopop.cc/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
TX. thanks for the link to ECB. We did look at them. I just did not know them by their initials. http://limos.infopop.cc/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Markee keep this in mind. What you preceive as a "work of art" in your eyes might be perceived as gaudy or tacky in your clients eyes. People that get into this business that are are in love with the "car" part of this business usually fail very soon. This is not to confuse immaculate vehicles but the over the top features are really not neccessary and most of the time cost down time. The secret to making money in this business is a diversified fleet of vehicles running 7-days per week and as many hours as possible. Don't fall in love with a "car". Remember these are business tools.

Wade. thanks for the advise. I'll be sure to test this. Really I want to provide what is needed and wanted by the customer. If the extras are not required then they will not be included in future vehicles. Or we will keep just a limited selection of the vehicles with all of the features so that we can provide for the customers that do want them.
Oh and Yes. I am in love with my cars. (GRIN)

We wired a down payment. It was not the full amount. We will pay the balance once we pick up the car.

Although Portland is far away from FL - go there during several milestones in the build process if time and budget allows. It may save your ยง$@, grieve and some $$.
Saw their cars in Orlando at the show - far less than impressed.
Good luck!
