My name is Mike Keller and I have been in the limousine business for the last 6 years. I retired after 30 years service with a major auto company and now devote full time to the limousine industry.I am a small operator and know how hard it is for the small operator to remain in this business.I am President of the Great Lakes Limousine Association and have held that office for the past 3 years. I have been successful in our fight with the airport issues in Michigan. We have as an association obtained a consent judgement whereby the airport has agreed to be sensitive to the needs of our limousine operators. I also have been successful in fighting a bill in Lansing that would have been detrimental to all limousine operators in Michigan. Events occur effecting limousine operators that they are not always aware of, for example the bill that was introduced in Michigan Legislature. I have attended the NLA board meetings at my own expense for the past year and a half. Anyone that is interested in attending can do so because the meetings are always posted in the LimoScene. If I am elected to the board, I feel the need for education is an important issue to both small and large operators. I will work towards a team effort with both the board and the membership to set and accomplish both priorties and goals.
