For anyone who owns or is thinking about purchasing from Imperial let this be a warning to you, THEY DO NOT PAY WARRANTY CLAIMS AND DO NOT SEND PARTS FOR YOUR VEHICLE OR VEHICLES THAT ARE STILL UNDER WARRANTY!! Just to give a little background as to why I make these claims, We had a very minor issue with both of our Chrysler's back in February, The fuse holders for the main power to the limotouch were insufficiant to handle the load and melted down we called Springfield at the time and were told that it was a common problem and that MTG had recalled it to be replaced with circuit breakers. Jason from springfield was very helpful and sent us out circuit breakers, We went to our local shop to have the work done and the bill was around $200.00 for both limo's Jason said to send them the bill and it would be paid. Since then Imperial purchased Springfield and it get's Much worse. The bill still has not been paid and it's been about 5 months, We have called Dean several times who is the one that handles warranty now from florida. We have been asking for new belt moulding's for both limo's since day one because they were out of stock during production and used Lincoln moulding's instead so just guess how that look's. Every time I speak to Dean he say's that its being looked into however I have not seen any mouldins and the shop still has not been paid. To make a long story short I have been extremly patient with all of this and I feel that it is time to let everyone who is considering Imperial know how they handle customers after the sale. Buyers beware you will have the same headaches if you purchase from Imperial Body & Design. We have several Krystal's and believe me when I tell you part's are next day and claims are paid in a timely fashion.

Thanks for the heads-up. I was considering an Imperial since they are now close by in FLA, but the 300 looks exactly the same as before only $10k more. Called salesman to seee one- never got a call back.... so I just bought a nice used Craftsmen.

Welcome to the forum Miguel, Thank you for replying to my complaints, The last thing I wanted to do is leave negative remarks about a builder however I was left with no choice I figured if I wasnt going to get anywhere with you guys that I should warn other people before a costly mistake was made, I will be happy to remove this post when Imperial has made good on the issues, I understand that during a transition period sometimes things can fall through the cracks, Just try to remember as a builder the most important thing you should look at is the after sale care with your customers that alone will make you or break you.

I called Dean in Warranty 2 times last week and just asked for a status. Monday I am contacting a lawyer. I am just a guy with four kids trying to make it. My business has suffered because my 300 from Springfield was made to less than standard. That is from the local Chrysler Dealer. So I called a lawyer a will meet with him on 7/23. I have been super patient and know I am pissed. I will also be having my web guy build me a little 1 page site with all the problems I have had with pictures and invoices from the dealership. I will also attend every limo show Ican with my shirts I will have made up with " Please do not purchase a SPRINGFIELD/IMPERIAL Limo" When people mess with your family thats not cool. I will also encourage anybody with problems with springfield to email me @ info@aparisaffair.com if they want to place anything on the site about how they have been wrong by Springfield/Imperial.

A friend received a letter for them stating they are not responsible for existing warranty claims.

Dean I also recieved that B.S. letter, I think that is imperial trying to cover their ass, A lawyer needs to see this letter to determine if they are liable, They purchased springfield usually when you take over a company you inherit their problems as well, Nevertheless if I can prevent 1 person from buying their crap then I have done my duty.
Paris, let me know when you get that page up I would love to participate also I will be at the show in Atlantic city (we attend every show) and would love to have some T-Shirts to expose these http://www.limos.com/graemlins/asshole2.gif "s

I certainly hope that each and everyone that knows John Bumgarner, Springfield Limos realizes that he has NO part in any thing that has happened or happening at Springfield/Imperial.
John is known for the customer service, and quality of limos that he builds.

Update: After zero returned phone calls and over a $1000.00 in warranty repairs. I was left to seek legal asst. They have been served. The one thing I have in my favor is the car was purchased in CAlifornia from American Springfield which make it a lemon law case. I shall keep you posted. I could not even get a live person to answer the phone. I so hope they are at the show if they are still in business. Web page coming soon...

Good luck with that. The company you speak of in California was out of trust with alot of car dealerships. They were previously a coachbuilder. Legal action won't scare them.

UPDATE: Spoke with lisa at the plant in springfield, She seemed suprised that my issues had not been resolved to date after months of waiting. Lisa advised me that she would personally look into and handle the situation and would contact me back by the end of the day. I will update later.

NEVER BUY FROM THEM! COMPLETE CRAP! MY THE FIRST DAY I GOT MY CHRYSLER 300 THE DRIVE SHAFT FELL OUT OF IT ONTO THE ROAD! The car shakes like crazy going anything over 55mph, the bar is starting to crack around the edges, the mirrors on the inside of the coolers ALL fell off and we had to replace them, we have 15,000 miles on the limos and have already replaced the aux alternator, the car rattles behind the drivers seat like crazy, the Chrysler emblem on the "Bentley Grill" has been coming off since day 1 and I were told they wouldn't replace it, the shocks went out with 15,000 miles on it and they wouldn't help, they DO NOT PUT ANY UPGRADED BRAKES/ROTERS/SUSPENSION on their limos, we have bubbles in the WINDOW TINT, you get no radio reception, they will not call you back, they are NOT part of the NLA, we received the Chrysler with the passenger side door a different color silver (we had it repainted), the Opera lights are full of water and when we asked to have them replaced they told me to "just drill small holes in the bottom of the lights and let the water drain out."
The brakes SUCK, the "star light" ceiling is made like crap, the fiber optics fall out of the ceiling, they came off the bar, the disco dish came loose, the FAKE stainless steel that lines the bar is FULL of nothing but scratches and looks like junk...
I had a mechanic write out EVERYTHING wrong with the limousine and IMPERIAL BODY AND DESIGN DID NOT HELP ME FIX ANYTHING EXCEPT The window tint and it took 4 months to get reimbursed!
If you have any questions about their limos contact me ASAP! They do not stand against their warranty!
