I am considering starting out in a town of app. 100,000. people in the vicinity, there are only 2 other companies, one with an 8 passenger and a towncar, and the other I've been told is no longer working?(so we'll say 1) they do not even advertise so I am presuming bussiness with no competition is grand.. I was wondering what year, make and how many passenger car and what this car should be stocked with. I do not want to make a mistake.

Personally, I'd go with a 10-passenger "new" body style Lincoln. However, I wouldn't buy it new, I'd buy it slightly used (say with 20,000 miles) on it to take a cut on the initial cost. A 10-pax limo will give you access to all opportunities in the areas including airports, weddings, nights-out and whatever else might come your way. If you start out with a sedan only, you limit yourself to a airport, corporate only service. Also, having the 10-pax may help differentiate yourself from the competition seeing no one else is offering such a vehicle.

I agree. A 10 pak would be the best investment for you. You can always run a 10 as a 6 but you can't run a 6 as a 10 pak. As for body style, with no competion you can probably look for a 1997, but to really clinch your market, get the biggest and newest you can AFFORD!!! Good luck.

If you can afford two cars, in addition to the 10 passenger limo, I strongly recommend a clean black 98 or 99 Town Car. The costs of running the sedan are much less then the limo. Use the sedan for taking a few people to the airport. It's cheaper to run and will save a lot of wear and tear on the limo.
Good Luck.
