Hello Guys I want to start up inot hte limo business in chicago. i currently live in hoffman estates and im looking for reliable companies that are good and have good business. some of my friends have referred me to A1 airport limo. i am currently in the process of getting my hard card, and i have excellent driving record. i have driven chicago land taxi for 14 years until i got seriously sick of it.

i am intersested in buying a car to put in the limo business and i am looking to put in the new 2008 Mercedes C-Class luxury edition. if anybody knows any companies that might accept that car in the chicagoland area plz tell me. Thank You everyone for your input.

I like the new C-Class, but it isn't appropriate for limousine service. Both the rear leg room and trunk space are very small.

When compared to popular livery vehicles such as the Town Car and S-Class, it isn't competitive.

Hi Chaudhry, welcome to the forum.

Tell me if you are so sick of driving a taxi what makes you think driving a limo, or luxury sedan for that matter, any diffrent?

Just curious

I took that car for a test driver a week ago and its really small. Passengers in the back will not be comfortable and will complaint.

It is a nice car. For a 6 cylinder it has balls. I know of someone stretching it right now. We will see results soon.

I have seen many people come into the Sedan business from getting tired of driving a cab. However the customer service and personal dress code is very important.

But the basic principal is the same. Going to the airport, getting stuck in traffic, rude clients. Etc

It is a different thing if you want to promote yourself. Then welcome on board.

The C Class is too small. Maybe start of with a used S class.

I hear that the Chicago market is very heavy with share-a-rides.

Best to have a vehicle that can accomodate such.

And stop sending those people to Florida damn it!

It has becomes pretty slow here in Chicago and most of the major companies are actually cutting down on the their fleet to balance orders on every car.
You might want to try to market yourself.
