They may be older but if well cared for, there a plenty of people out there who just want a nice clean car with a professional driver. They teach this in a class at the limo show coming up in Vegas. You may not get as much as newer companies by the hour but you can keep up with them with good marketing. Best way to make a name for yourself is to get hooked up with a radio station and do some trade work. Trade them on a rate of no less than 2:1. That is two times your normal hourly rate in trade advertising dollars. Radio stations suck up the limo usage.
Work with a local restaurant to create a dinner package for two on a week night. One price paid to you does all. You pay the restaurant and tell them you will use them if they give you a two for one deal. You buy one plate, they furnish the other in exchange for the radio advertising you will do with your above mentioned trade dollars. Go to your upscale hotel and offer the doormen, desk clerks, sales & catering staff a $20 cash commission for any guest of the hotel that books with you. The employee must call in the order for or with the client to get the $20. These are just a start. Read LCT magazine which is loaded with marketing ideas. Never give up!!!

We started out with 5 year old cars, older body style. We still use older cars. The things that matter most to the customer are; 1) The car is on time. 2) The car is clean and 3) The chauffuer is a profesional.

Chin up dude!

I have some cards being made and plan on giving them to the hotel lobby and valet and offer the 20.00 deal, the radio advertising is whats hard for me to understand. Do you just call and say hey.....? also I came up with an idea that no one does here "We are the counties only limousine coordinator" We plan nights out , but were new VERY NEW and willing to hustle. How do you work the retraunt deals? Also where do I get the magazine. Is there a link thanks!!!!!!

Because I am in a small community, I have the advantage of just a few media outlets so that part is easy. The other involves getting out on the street and visit business's who could be involved with Limos. For instance, Bridal shops, jewelry stores, funeral homes, travel agencies. Join the Chamber of Commerce and let them advertise for you. Visit Senior Citizen functions, associate yourself with the local transit system. Just drive your Limo up and down main street, park it where a lot of people congragate and pass out business cards and flyers. Just do any thing to get yourself noticed. Offer free rides around the block to any one willing to go. The very best advertisement you can get is word of mouth. Hope that helps.
