I'm looking into getting general liability insurance, what is a ball park dollar amount for an operator with a single sedan in the nj area;thanks

All depends on what you driving, where, miles radius from your home point, passenger count, intra/ interstate, ect, ect.
Contact an insurance agent. They'll check with a brokerage to get a quote for coverage. But, you must be ready to answer the above questions first.
