glass etching

I run an auto glass etching business here in Massachusetts.I have been asked if factory tinted windows pose a problem.In the years I have been doing this ,I have never run into a problem.It is the self applied limo tint that cannot be etched.For those involved in limos ,can you add anything that my customers should know?

I have had factory windows etched before and whether I'm just lucky or not I don't know but I have never had problems. Of course I'm assuming that you mean etching to the exterior of the glass not the interior for as you say it would ruin the tint if its the plastic film type.
